Overview
ChordsBook is a songbook and performance app operated by Harmonology Labs. This policy explains what we collect when you use ChordsBook, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account details — your name and email address, and the login method you use to sign in.
Content you create — the setlists, song arrangements, notes, medley groups and custom chord progressions you save, plus the email addresses you add as co-leaders or band members.
Subscription records — the plan you hold, its status and expiry, and the details of any manual payment you submit (amount, tier, billing cycle and the receipt file you upload).
Usage information — pages you visit inside the app and basic technical data needed to run and secure the service.
Payments
Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. If you pay by bank transfer, the receipt you upload is stored privately and is only accessible to you and to our team for verification.
Live sessions and chat
When you open a shared setlist, the name you enter and the messages you send in that session are relayed in real time to the other people in the session. Live session state is kept only while the session is running. If you are the host, viewers can see the setlist you shared and the song you have selected.
How we use your information
We use this information to run the service: signing you in, saving and sharing your setlists, delivering live sessions, verifying payments, providing support, and keeping the app secure and free of abuse. We may send you service emails such as payment confirmations and access updates.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the app (hosting, payments and email delivery), and where we are required to do so by law.
Retention and your choices
Your account and content are kept while your account is active. You can edit or delete your setlists and account data at any time from within the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and the data linked to it. Deleting your account ends access to your subscription.
Children
ChordsBook is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make a meaningful change we will update the date at the top of this page.
